If you have a coach or crew already — good, keep them. APEX isn't a replacement, it's what's watching every lap they can't be there for. Most drivers aren't short on track time, they're short on someone telling them which lap actually mattered and why. That's the gap APEX fills — a coach that's with you every session, not just the ones someone else could make it to.

Because it's the purest environment to develop a driver. In PC sims, a bad lap can always be blamed on a bad setup. GT7 limits the engineering, which means the lap time comes almost entirely from you. Once you master the fundamentals where you can't hide behind car settings, those skills carry over to every other sim. More platforms are coming in the weeks and months ahead.

Sim racing is expensive enough without buying proprietary data loggers and extra cables just to see what your feet are doing. You don't need any of that. All you need today is your PlayStation 5 with GT7 and a Windows computer on the same network. No OBD reader, no special hardware. Mobile apps are in development to replace the PC requirement.
